The ordering experience

I have tried to get ahead of the orders to build up some stock, but I have to thank my customers for making this a near impossibility.  I simply cant make things fast enough.

There is a real benefit to ordering a build.  You get the knife you have dreamed of

Delivery time is affected by a few different factors.  

• Material Choices: I try and keep some standard steel in stock, but depending on the build I may have order a custom size or type.  Typically delivery of additional supplies can be up to two weeks
• Complexity:  While the end result looks easy, some things just take time.  Most builds require hours of hand sanding to achieve the desired finish.  Complex patterns and shapes also contribute build time
• Delivery:  Sadly we live in a world where a knife can be viewed as a bad thing, I have even had a chef's knife flagged by the FB monitors.  I am in Alberta Canada,  Delivery to Europe or the middle east is 100% doable, it just takes time to clear all of the borders.
• Backlog:  I am happy to say that I do have a backlog orders.  Current backlog is approx 6 weeks before I can start on your order.

With all of that being said, most people can receive the completed build within 2 months of a build starting.

To some extent yes.  Changing materials may add some cost depending on where we are in the process.  But most of the time changes are made through the build.  You or me will communicate all of the way through the build with ideas.  Most builds have some changes to the original plan.

Ordering a custom knife is a dream for a lot of people.  Owning something unique that is a one of a kind, that is yours is a once in a lifetime experience.  I will send pictures all of the way through the process so that you not only own the knife, but the pedigree of the build as well.  

I would be disappointed if my knives were not used.  They are crafted to look good, but more importantly, they are made to be used.
